BRIEF STATEMENT OF SALVATION AND CALL TO THE MISSION FIELD
I was able to grow up in a Christian home my whole life and I am very thankful for that. I was saved by the grace of God at the age of five in my Father and Mothers room one night. As I was sitting there in my bed I knew that I was not good enough to make it to heaven and so after many minutes had gone by, I got out of my bed and told my Father and Mother that I needed to be saved. They walked me through the steps so that I would understand what it was that I was really doing! I always have been interested in the ministry and always trying to find out more about the men and women who knew they were serving a great God! I learned at that time it was not the men and women that were so great but the God that they served. I was able to go to something called the Summit where they have missionaries come and share their heart and burden for the lost all over the world. I can remember the last night of the conference as I was sitting there listening to a missionary by the name of Jeff Bush. He was pouring his heart out for the people of Argentina and saying how they needed the Lord! I realized that night that I had not been open to be a missionary. I was willing to do whatever else God had for me but when it came to going halfway across the world I just did not find that as something that I wanted to do. May I say God had different plans and I realized that when God broke my heart for the lost people in this world and I saw the importance of making God's name great in this world! After going down and praying I walked over to Jeff and told him that I was going to come and see him. I really did not know what God had for me at that time, but I did know that He was starting to change my life forever! Now after many classes at Gwinnett Hall Baptist college and many mission trips. I can see that God has called me out to go and serve him on the mission field in Mexico. May God have all the glory that comes out of my life!

About Mexico!
Some Facts:
There is over one hundred million people in Mexico.
Thirty million of those people live in Mexico City.
They look up to Mary like Christians look up to Jesus Christ.
Mexico is 90% Roman Catholic.
They believe that suffering and good works will make them good enough.
Many of the children are homeless.
Most Mexicans come from a background of Indians.
They think that they can pray their family members that have died out of what they believe to be purgatory.

serpent in its mouth. They said that was a sign for them to build their city on that Island. Today it is known as Mexico City. It is the largest urban city in the world! Mexico City is 20 by 20 miles. Within that space there are over 30 million people living! Because of the amount of cars in the city there is a lot of smog. Everyone is told by law to stay off the roads one day a week according to their tag number on their cars. Back in 1950 there were only 2 million people in Mexico City. From that time to today there have been over 28 million people added! The City itself is not poor but the places right outside the city are full of poverty and people have little or no money. Because of Mexico City being built on a spongy lake there are a lot of places in the city that sink at least one foot every year! They do take a great pride in what the History means to them. They do know that there are many problems and they are looking for answers. They have been blinded by the Roman Catholic system that they are under. For them being Catholic is part of their cultural identity. They depend on those who run the Catholic church for their salvation. They worship Mary! Going to the Catholic church brings a temporary peace and security to the people. They all say that they are Catholic because their family was or still is. On December 12 millions of people come from all over together to the shrine that was started by a man that said Mary appeared to him and told him to build the shrine.
While attending the shrine, people walk around not smiling and no hope of eternal security. They need the TRUTH!
